Mr. Allen joined the company in 2012 as Vice President of Operations. For several years, he was responsible for all of the company's drilling and operating activities. In early 2016, as a part of a restructuring plan, Mr. Allen resigned his position with the company and assumed ownership and control of CRECO Operating, LLC. In this capacity, he continues to manage the operation of many of Cardinal River's wells while also providing engineering services and consultation to others.
As a petroleum engineer, Mr. Allen has many years of experience as a drilling and operations engineer. From 1984 until 1993, Mr. Allen worked as a drilling and production engineer for Conoco, Inc., where he was responsible for developing and maintaining operations related to Conoco's Permian Basin water flood properties. Later, he was transferred to Conoco's Houston-based global headquarters as an international coordinator.
In 2004, Mr. Allen became the Vice President of Operations and a principal at Red Rock Resources, LLC, an Oklahoma City based exploration and production company. While at Red Rock Resources, he had a broad range of responsiblities that included the supervision of all engineering and operational aspects of numerous wells that were drilled in Kansas and Oklahoma. He also has experience in oil and gas related environmental matters, including the planning and preparation of SPCC plans and EPA GHG emissions reporting. Mr. Allen holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
